Dubai rent almost 10 percent more affordable
If you’re thinking about making a big move to another neighbourhood in Dubai, now could be the best time if you want to save some dirhams.
Local property website Property Finder has revealed that rents for apartments and villas in the city have dropped by almost 30 percent in the past two years.
Some of the biggest decreases in the second half of 2018 include Green Community, where rent was down by 9.3 percent, JLT where it was down by 8.7 percent and DIFC where renters could expect a 7.5 percent drop.
As for all of the past 12 months year, Al Furjan saw the biggest decrease, becoming 25.7 percent more affordable, while Green Community reduced by 25.2 percent and Culture Village apartments by 22.9 percent.
For those looking for villas, the website found that villa rents dropped by 11.3 percent over the past year and 22.2 percent over the past two years.
The report also revealed that Dubai Marina is still the most searched-for place when it comes to apartments, while International City was revealed to be the cheapest place to rent an apartment in Dubai
